Day 15 · 5 July 2015

Shopping (Day 15)

Shopping… Again. Busy busy day being Independence Day (down with the British! Woohoo! Etc etc etc…) so hit breakfast then the other outlets for some final purchases. First shop, Converse. Walked out with 8 pairs of shoes for $170 - that’s like under 15 quid a pair! :D Good start, or not depending on how you look at it. Few more gifts & ponies bought and well that’s all I have to say about that.

Popped in to GameStop on the way home for PG who still had a little money left, he went and bought Watchdogs and me The Witcher Guide - major kudos buddy (that’s me sorted for reading material on the flight home, well that and the 20-odd unread books on my kindle)! :D But yeah, GameStop is like my new favourite shop :)

Kids wanted to try the pool at the hotel so we did as dinner wasn’t for another few hours. They loved it and didn’t want to leave. That’s it next year, I’m book a hotel in Portugal or Italy with a pool and nothing else (I’d have loved to try Greece but we’ll need to wait to see how that one pans out). Feel a little guilty that we don’t take them swimming more often, even with The Time Capsule down the road but they seems pretty confident in and around the water. Though I had to laugh when a spluttering wee Gracie complete with water wings was kicking her legs furiously whilst holding on to me and shouted out “I’m the greatest swimmer, ever!”

For dinner we headed across the road to Millers Ale House so everyone could have a cocktail or two. It’s a great place and at $6 a pitcher of beer, you can’t beat it. We tried to book a table as it was the 4th of July but no takers. Nowhere seems to take reservations here so you always need to wait for a table or call ahead shortly before you get there.

No real photos apart again today apart from a poor, slightly warped panorama from my iPhone below (food came then so this was the only one I managed). Universal & Islands tomorrow so be good to get back into the parks after some furious days shopping. Also tried to look at the logistics of how we would take all the extra stuff we bought, home - I think we’re gonna need a bigger boat! ;)
