Day One... or not Day One.

Actually not, sorry. We got in really late after dinner and although I’ve been working on it since we got in, there’s too much still to add and photos to process that I didn’t want to post a half-assed attempt. We’re up early tomorrow again too so will get it finished and posted then, I promise. Anyway here’s the summary version of what happened today along with a wee pic.
Always two there are…
A master and an appr… emm two updates, always two updates there are, one’s a summary and one goes into more detail (which you’ll get tomorrow now). Anyway, here’s the summary… ;)
Magic Kingdom Day 1. It was an absolutely amazing first day, in fact I couldn’t have asked for any better and that was even with the thunder (yup, its still hanging around). It was only in the afternoon though, the rest of the day was absolute sunshine. Hit most of the rides on our list with the exception of Space Mountain, which was only for me and Patrick anyway so we’ll grab that next time. As much as I moaned about how inconvenient the FastPass+ was for organizing and booking, we seemed to get our plan spot on and never really queued any more than 20 minutes for anything. Win. Notable mention includes one of MK’s newest attractions, the Seven Dwarf Mine Train, great small coaster for kids and adults alike - its one of those you want to do again and again. We met Anna & Elsa too, for the first time (in forever) (sorry), as well as a whole host of classic Princesses at Cinderella’s Royal Banquet, where we had an exquisite lunch. The kids done exceptionally well all day considering the jet lag and we spent a whopping 9.5 hours in the park before calling it a day. Traffic delayed us a little getting back and we also made a slight faux pas in not booking a restaurant for a Friday night, so it was pretty late by the time we ended stumbling upon Johnny Rockets, a 50’s styled diner, where Grace fell asleep and Patrick couldn’t finish his dinner (:gasp:). We’ve set a pretty high bar for the first day but cant wait until Epcot tomorrow (and no, not just because it’s fathers day either ;).
